Foundation 1: Software Development
The first foundation of our company is our state-of-the-art software development. At factoris, we rely on advanced technologies and proven methods to create first-class software solutions.
A clear and intuitive design combined with the highest data security is of course part of our standard. As proof of our commitment to data protection, we voluntarily meet the high requirements of the German hospital data protection standard – one of the strictest data protection guidelines in Europe.
Our solutions are characterized by extensive functionalities precisely tailored to the needs of our customers and the highest quality. All products are platform-independent and can be used to their full extent without installation on almost all devices (Windows, Linux, iOS – whether desktop, laptop or tablet). Thanks to innovative real-time synchronization, all data is always up to date – regardless of where and with which device it is accessed.

The second foundation of factoris GmbH is our versatile, interdisciplinary team. Our employees bring expertise from a wide variety of fields, including software engineering, business administration and education.

For years, we have been intensively involved with topics such as participation, impact orientation and documentation. Together with the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, we have developed a pedagogical, software-supported method – SKEED®. This innovative concept systematically links participation, documentation and evaluations, creating unique added value for our customers.

Our History
factoris GmbH was founded in 2012 through the merger of "SKEED Gesellschaft für soziale Innovationen mbH" and "factoris – Fabrik für Informationssysteme GmbH & Co. KG". Since then, the company has stood for innovative software solutions that combine practical orientation, quality and future orientation.
The Beginnings
"factoris – Fabrik für Informationssysteme GmbH & Co. KG" was founded in 2010 by Ingo Phillipp Meyer after five years of intensive research. The goal was clear: the development of a revolutionary software development environment that enables measurable and sustainable improvement of software quality and strengthens the competitive advantage of customers.
"SKEED Gesellschaft für soziale Innovationen mbH" was founded in 2011 from the idea of Jan-Ole and Daniele Diekmann to specifically support young people in their development process. The two had been working on the SKEED method since 2003, which systematically documents and evaluates steps towards achieving goals. With the support of the EXIST startup grant, the first version of SKEED® was successfully developed and introduced to the market in 2011.
Contact between factoris and SKEED arose at the end of 2011. factoris was looking for exciting projects to demonstrate the performance of the software factory, while SKEED was looking for a way to optimally implement the method technologically. The collaboration quickly proved fruitful, and in 2012 the merger to form factoris GmbH was completed.
Growth and Development
The following years were characterized by steady growth and the further development of our software solutions, always with the aim of better meeting the needs of our customers.
- 2015:With the start of development of comprehensive service billing, a decisive foundation was laid to tailor the software specifically to the requirements of the social economy.
- 2016:The founding of "Gesellschaft für soziale Innovationen mbH" as an independent company was an important step to further strengthen the area of social innovations.
- 2019:The introduction of the first version for complex providers marked a milestone. Facilities with multiple service areas could now handle their administration and billing in one system.
- 2022:After more than a decade at the company, co-founder Jan-Ole Diekmann decided to leave factoris. We thank him for his pioneering work.
Innovation and Internationalization
In recent years, factoris has increasingly focused on innovation and opening up international markets.
- 2024:The strategic partnership with Grindstone Software International L.L.C. from Wyoming opened new doors. Through access to extensive resources and know-how, we were able to accelerate our software development.
- 2025:With the start of development of factoris.one, we began a new chapter. This revolutionary platform combines all previous experience in a universal, industry-independent solution.
- 2026:The planned market launch of the international version of factoris.one marks the next big step. With the vision of reaching companies and individuals worldwide.
