The Founding of factoris GmbH

factoris GmbH was founded in 2012 through the merger of "SKEED Gesellschaft für soziale Innovationen mbH" and "factoris – Fabrik für Informationssysteme GmbH & Co. KG". Since then, the company has stood for innovative software solutions that combine practical relevance, quality and future orientation.

The Beginnings

"factoris – Fabrik für Informationssysteme GmbH & Co. KG" was founded in 2010 by Ingo Phillipp Meyer after five years of intensive research. The goal was clear: to develop a revolutionary software development environment that enables measurable and sustainable improvement in software quality and strengthens customers' competitive advantage.

"SKEED Gesellschaft für soziale Innovationen mbH" was founded in 2011 based on the idea of Jan-Ole and Daniele Diekmann to specifically support young people in their development process. The two had been working on the SKEED method since 2003, which systematically documents and evaluates steps towards goal achievement.

The Merger

Contact between factoris and SKEED was established at the end of 2011. factoris was looking for exciting projects to demonstrate the capabilities of the software factory, while SKEED was looking for a way to optimally implement the method technologically. The collaboration between the two companies quickly proved fruitful, and the merger to form factoris GmbH was completed in 2012.
